| Bob is composed of a Nomadic Scout mobile robot that is controlled with a Sony Viao Picturebook. Wireless 802.11b is used for Java RMI communication with Bob's on-board control system from a remote laptop. Bob is also capable of supporting various additional robotics sensors for testing purposes. |
Bob is being used to test our waypoint navigation software. Marks are placed on the floor at one meter intervals. The robot must perform an s-shape pattern by traveling up one meter, right one meter, back one meter, etc. |
